 Sturdy = Safe for the kid Sep 29, 2011

My wife and I were looking for a great stepping stool for our 3 year old. Biggest concern was and is safety. Second was something great looking and not made of plastic. Well, the product arrived and was impressed with the construction prior to assemble. After assembly, which was simple, it was obvious quality and safety were considered. Very sturdy and the paint is well done and strong.

This stool is very cute, and seems quite durable. But the photo is not accurate. Guidecraft has changed the front panel of the top step so that the opening below the top is all the way across. The problem is that they didn't alter the painted flowers properly, so now the bottom flower is too low and the picture gets cut off by the lower step once it's assembled. It's still very cute, and the larger opening probably decreases the chance that little fingers will get pinched when the lid falls, but Guidecraft should have paid more attention to the painted design.
Still cute, though, and would buy it again.

Great Looking Stairs! Jan 16, 2012

Stairs came in great condition, my husband put it together in a half hr, give or take. Loved how the butterflies and flowers were outlined in glitter which I didn't notice in the picture. My two yr old loves them and is dragging them everywhere, even for our couch (which is totally unnecessary) and also hiding all her goodies in the top stair case. =]

There were some assembly problems. The instructions are just small picture and are hard to understand what they are tring to describe. But my daughter loves it, so it gets a 4!
